Leo Macenauer is a young Czech menswear fashion designer who has followed a long family tradition of bespoke handcrafted tailoring. After finishing his studies at the University of Tomas Bata and London’s Central Saint Martins College of Fashion, he will present his collection for men to the public. He is based in Prague. At his young age, Leo Macenauer can pride himself with considerable practical work experience in various areas and several meaningful companies. Amongst the most influential he counts an internship at Calvin Klein in Milano, Italy, further an internship in China, as well as working as an assistant in Savile Row in London with experienced master pattern cutters and tailors.
The aim of the new collection is to approach modern men. The first attributes that catch the attention are the use of natural materials, a feeling for atypical details and the traditional handcrafted art of tailoring. The collection includes everything, that the wardrobe of a true gentleman should contain – shirts, jackets, pants, handcrafted knitwear and leather belts. The clear links between the collection and the tradition of Savile Row are visible from the very beginning. Modern silhouettes based on classical cuts are underlining the true contemporary gentleman. The models are characterized by distinguished elegance, exacting attention to details and exclusive high-quality materials. Leo Macenauer is combining the picture of a modern man with classic perfection completed by hidden details.
