Vladimir Stanek is a multifunctional artist and designer who likes to interconnect several fields of fashion, design and art. After graduating from the Secondary School of Art, Industrial Design, Vladimir Stanek came to Prague to study fashion design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design under the leadership of lecturer Josef Tapluch. He passed out internships at the architecture studio of Professor Jiri Pelcl, MFA. He also completed an internship at the University of the Arts London in the field of Graphic Media Design and Interior Architecture at the famous Rhode Island School of Design. Among recent successes is his 1st place in the national finale of the prestigious Triumph Inspiration Award 2011 competition, and the honour to represent Czech republic at the international finale of 37 countries from around the world at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.
In 2012, he completed a show for the magazine Harper’s Bazaar, participated in Prague Fashion Weekend and he introduced set of large format enamels in Gate gallery. He was chosen to represent Czech republic on event called Czech Meets Ghana Fashion Show 2013. In these days he is the main designer of men’s collections for Pietro Filipi, he cooperates with company called Grund and he takes a care about his own brand Stinak. His work has appeared in magazines like ELLE, Dolce Vita, Harpers Bazaar, Glanc, Cosmpolitan Spy, E15, MF DNES, Esprit magazine Lidových novin and much more.
His new men’s collection called IN is inspired by the transformation of personality. By development from the primary imperfect ,devastated into something very smooth , completely clean and transformation in something better. The collection is influenced by internal soul and impacts on exterior in which it reflects. The destruction, repeated enhancement and development of clothing throughout many generations are brought to life in a single moment.
