Josefina Bakosova is a fashion designer who produces her collections under the brand chi-chi, and a creative director of the Hard De Core fashion and design gallery n Prague. The idea behind chi-chi is to make cloths for women who desire unconventional fashion, comfortable for everyday life in the city. Clothes that can be versatile with the classical chain confections but still different and original. Clothes for women who love to live an active life and appreciate quality of materials and practicality as well as novel and unexpected design. Chi-chi traditionally presents one collection per year, containing items for all seasons.
Chi-chi collection for 2013/14 is called Black. Black is not only the key color but also the overall theme of the collection. The essence of every model is a black fabric accompanied by a distinctive, hand-printed fabric, produced and imported from Africa. Each design is unique, each piece of fabric only comes in rectangular shape (used for traditional African wear – kaftans) which defines the key geometrical line of the entire collection. To go further after the theme of wild African nature models are accompanied by leather labels and leather belts. The Black collection carries strong signature of city elegance with elements of exotic luxury.
